Simon Townsend is a full time professional diving educator. He is one of the most experienced and qualified Instructor Trainer Examiners in Europe teaching courses through PSAI and PADI.

When Simon isn´t busy teaching he is an active technical, cave and wreck diver. Because of this he brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to his courses.

Simon has also written a number of courses for various agencies over the years. He most recently wrote the Advanced Dive Planning course for PSAI and is currently writing the training materials for the VMS Red Series CCR´s for PSAI. He also co-authored the PADI distinctive specialities in Cave and CCR Cave with his good friend and colleague George Vandoros.

Simon is also a trained service technician for the VMS RedBare, APD Inspiration and Apeks regulators. He is one of the test consultants for the VMS RedBare and the soon to be launched Nammu-Tech Atlas CCR.

In the past Simon has held positions as Instructor Trainer and Training Director for ITDA. Furthermore he was on the Board of Advisors for IART.
